Student Loan for Firefighter Advanced Degrees

The workplace advancement student loan is a private student loan offered to eligible members of the LFFCU Credit Union who are enrolled in an accredited degree program listed here:

Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in:

  • Fire Science

  • Emergency Management

  • Public Admin

  • Paramedic technologies

The loan is intended to fund educational expenses towards degree programs that will enhance their work-related education. Any individual who is eligible for LFFCU membership may be considered eligible for these loans. 

Program Features: 

  • Borrow as little as $500.00 or as much as needed to complete the program.

  • 5 Year 5% Fixed Rate

  • 10 Year 7% Fixed Rate

  • No prepayment penalty

  • Borrower must join the credit union as primary member to borrow
